5000+ Hours taught
Luke has over 4 years of experience working full time as a private tutor and educational consultant. He has over 5,000 hours of contact time with students, the vast majority of which has been in the ‘virtual’ learning environment (mostly Skype). When Luke is not tutoring, he is travelling around Europe.
His Oxbridge success rate (for STEM subjects and Economics) is over twice the national average success rate and he has developed an extensive database of mock and past interview questions through the hundreds of mock interviews that he has conducted down the years.
Luke is a STEM specialist, and his approach to tutoring such subjects is based on the problem-solving philosophy of Prof. Erwin Kreyszig, a distinguished Engineering academic. His approach can be broken down into three stages: modelling, solving, interpreting.
Moreover, Luke is a fan of the Socratic method which allows him to dismantle students’ logic, enabling them to think critically about their thought process, and thus refine it.
