Bede is an expert Mathematician and a keen squash player - making him an expert at helping students find their way.
His teaching style revolves around ensuring the enjoyability of Maths for the student. Dependent on learning profile, this could include working through proofs, puzzles, challenges or visual activities. He likes to prepare students for the absolute hardest thing that they may be asked, optimistic that this will build their confidence for the examination and independent learning.
Whilst in school he taught Maths to younger students in groups of 10 who were struggling with their work, encouraging their independent studying and showing them how fun and satisfying Maths can be. He received the Renishaw prize for Mathematics in 2014 and continues to help many students find x.
